Shannon West is one of the Stampin’ Up Head Office employees over in the United States. She is also a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (as many of the Head Office employees are) and at the beginning of 2016 she carved her own stamp (#imbringingbirthdaysback) and made a promise to herself to send out more birthday cards throughout the year (she ended up sending over 2000). Stampin’ Up! now carry the stamp for us all to purchase (and yes I absolutely have one) and I was inspired to be much more motivated with my own card giving.

I didn’t keep notes about how many cards I delivered but it felt amazing to be proactively giving out my cards. I would often have to make big batches of cards in simple designs so that I would have enough for the birthdays ahead. This year I would like to be more up to date with the birthdays as so many of my cards last year were late.
So if you also feel that a greeting on social media feels hollow then I encourage you to treat your family and friends with a surprise in the mail. The feedback I got last year was so heartwarming that I feel I get more out of sending my cards than I give. These are the batch of cards that I’m working on right now, they are pretty much a CASE of a gorgeous card by Connie Collins I think those Botanical Builder Framelits are my wisest purchase of all out of the Annual Catalogue, I really do love them.
