Well that’s what my husband said when I showed him this card…
This card was a case of one that I found on Pinterest. I’ll give credit back to Sheri Gilson however the photo hasn’t been pinned correctly and it doesn’t take me back to the correct photo on the correct website as it should! Argh, only bad thing about Pinterest, you are relying on the Pinner to Pin correctly. Anyway, I digress…
The original card had different ribbon, different DSP and paper flowers. I instead chose to spend no less than 2 hours fiddling with my ribbon roses. Needless to say that when this card makes an appearance in a workshop you will not be making ribbon roses!
To make your flowers like this you pull the thread in the bottom of your ruffled ribbon to gather it. You then roll the ribbon and stitch the bottom to keep it all together as you go. Very tedious but thankfully worth the effort (Pete doesn’t agree).
My colours are Pool Party, Basic Black and Whisper White. I think it is a very striking combination. The divine flocked DSP is from the Speciality pack called “Mocha Morning”, I really didn’t want to cut it, I love it so much!
The sentiment is from “Loving Thoughts”, this stamp set coordinates perfectly with “Apothecary Art”. The leaves are cut with the Big Shot and the “Little Leaves” sizzlet. The white scalloped edge was cut in the Big Shot with the “Tasteful Trim” Bigz XL die. I think that’s about it. Let me know if you want to know any further details, also let me know if you agree with Pete in that it is “a bit much really”.
