Once Pete came up with the theme for Zane’s party I become more and more excited about the possibilities. I thought it would be great if all our guests could dress up but didn’t want any of the Mums to have to go to any trouble. I decided that I would like to make each mini-superhero their own cape, I thought this would easy. I thought it would make an excellent take home gift and would replace the traditional lolly bag. I didn’t think it would take very long. I thought I had a lot of time. Sigh.
Long story short…all the kids loved them making them well worth the one and a half hours they took to make, that’s one and a half hours each (I made 18). Just to make you aware of the time to allow if you are going to follow my lead (and no, I will not be making any more, beg all you like, it aint gonna happen).
Here is my boy playing pass the parcel (I don’t think I could ever have a kids party without pass the parcel, and yes I have a small prize in every layer, and yes I make sure every child gets a turn at unwrapping a layer)
I’ll be back with photos of the best surprise at Zane’s party!
