Kimono Kids!

I borrowed Mum’s Kimono Kids Stamp Set for a bit of a play… here is what I came up with copied…

This first one was inspired by this card by Jill

The colours used here are Rich Razzleberry and Pretty in Pink, along with Whisper White.  I have mostly used my blender pens to colour in the little girls.  The embossing folder used above is Petals-a-plenty.  I have added an antique brad to my satin ribbon to a special touch.

Here are a couple more, initally inspired by this card by Jan

I have used “Love Letter” DSP, along with the sentiment from “On your Birthday”.  I really like the way Jan had done the three narrow ribbons in a row but found I had not left enough room on my card for them and the stamped image, which is why I have changed the orientation of my card.

Last but not least….

I spent way too long watercolouring the images on the card above.  To the point that Pete looked at me flinging failed attempts across the table and stated “I guess this card will not become part of a class”.  I have no idea why I struggled with this one but I am happy with how it finally turned out.  Maybe the wine and movie were more of a distraction than I gave them credit for…  The sentiment is from “Curly Cute”, I have used some Daffodil Delight ribbon with a matching button from the Brights collection.  The square lattice embossing folder has also been used with the Big Shot after the sentiment was stamped.

Hope you like my cards.

Happy Stampin’
