Welcome to day 27 of my scrapbooking challenge…“to complete an unfinished layout or create a new one from scratch every day for the next 30 days”. Check out this first post here to get some more information on my children’s scrapbooks *day one*
As I have been spending so much time looking through my albums I have found certain pages that I really dislike. I have tried really hard to just concentrate on getting up to date with the album rather than recreating completed pages but I couldn’t resist refreshing this layout….
This is how they were….
They still needed dates and journalling but I knew they were all wrong. The white background clashed with the vanilla in the decorative paper. The number stood out too much. The white flower wasn’t right.
I pulled the pages apart, I did tear a little of the decorative paper on one of them but I still had some scrap so that could be easily fixed. I replaced the white with Very Vanilla. I sponged the edges and added journalling and dates. I redid the number in a smaller font. I added some ribbon and twine.
So the essence of the page remains the same, but I’m much happier with it now. I hope you agree!
See you tomorrow!
