I’m delighted to share this finished project with you!

I’ve had the board completed for a while, the recipe cards held me up (procrastination issues). Those that know me well would realise that I’m horrified to see that I have printed the recipe cards in the WRONG yellow! I’ve done them in So Saffron instead of the matching Summer Starfruit (yes, I will be reprinting the cards).

The frame was painted white and sanded to make it look shabby. The little pouch was given to me by a lovely friend. The husband of another lovley friend cut me a sheet of metal that I covered with Stampin’ Up! fabric (Comfort Cafe). I pressed some bottle tops in my Big Shot and glued a magnet to the back (these are the little Monday to Sunday magnets holding the menu cards onto the board). The flower on the bottom left hand corner is cut with the Big Shot and the Flower Folds Bigz XL die in matching Comfort Cafe designer series paper. It has an Antique Brad in the centre.

The cards have the meal name printed on the front and the recipe book in which they are found on the back….

The little paper pad is for my grocery list. When I organise the meals for the following week I will also be compiling my grocery list and (hopefully) shopping a lot less often!

Here is a case of a card done by Robin. I loved the use of Delicate Doilies in a Christmas design.

The colours I have used on this card are Riding Hood Red, Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla.

Quick and Easy!

I wanted to share a quick card with you that I made for a recent workshop…

The Stamp Set is “Scentsational Season” from the Holiday Catalogue on page 16. Any of the images from this stamp set could be used on this card, in fact I can imagine that a set of these cards would make an awesome gift!

I have used new In Colours on this card, “Raspberry Ripple” and “Gumball Green” along with “Very Vanilla”. The sentiment is from a new Stamp Set called “More Merry Messages” which can be found on page 15 of the Main Catalogue.

The candy canes have been cut out using framelits from the “Holiday Collection” a 177nd then popped with with dimensionals (found on page 177 of the Main Catalogue).

Big Shot Advent Activity Calendar using a Big Shot and lots of lovely Stampin' Up! product!

Here is my version of an Advent Activity Calendar….

The idea is that you pop a little activity into each of the pockets in the countdown to Christmas. I am going to put different things like trips to visit the Christmas lights, treasure hunts for candy canes and making gingerbread in mine. I am not going to fill them all in advance as I would rather have a bit more of an idea what I need to plan for in the pocket than forgetting that a baking activity falls on a busy afternoon. I can see that this advent calendar will promote meaningful family memories and I’m excited for Demember 1 so that we can start using it!

My first step in making this project was to decide which DSP (Designer Series Paper) that I would like to use. In deciding this paper my colour combination could be easily decided as I would just pull colours out of the designs. I went with the cute “Festival of prints” Designer Series Paper Stack. This paper comes in a pad that is 11.4 x 16.5cm, you get a whopping 48 sheets, which is 4 each of 12 double sided designs for only $11.95. You will find the paper on page 20 of the Holiday Catalogue. There is so much choice. Even after using it on this project I still have heaps of DSP leftover! The Cardstock that I used was in the coordinating colours of Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake and Early Expresso.
