A month of scrapbooking – day 24

Hello again, another day and yet again no decent chunk of time to paper craft.  With that in mind I simply added the year to this layout (this photo is one of my absolute favourites of Lily.)

This is such a simple page of Lily and yet is one I love due to the little facts I’ve added about her that that age. Reading through them takes me right back to her at that age.

See you tomorrow!

A month of scrapbooking – day 23

Welcome to day 23 of my scrapbooking challenge…“to complete an unfinished layout or create a new one from scratch every day for the next 30 days”.  Check out this first post here to get some more information on my children’s scrapbooks *day one*

I’m finding that today it is once again late and I’m reaching for a layout that only needs a quick  finishing touch.  I was happy to still have some of this Designer Series Paper so that I could use the stamps from “Date It” to add the date to this page.

This little person is the hardest one in our family to photograph.  She will always be the one looking away or not smiling at the right time. Therefore you feel like quite a hero when you get a good photo 🙂

I’m really going to try to do a bit more solid scrapbooking over the weekend.  Let’s see how I go!

A month of scrapbooking – day 22

Welcome to day 22 of my scrapbooking challenge…“to complete an unfinished layout or create a new one from scratch every day for the next 30 days”.  Check out this first post here to get some more information on my children’s scrapbooks *day one*

This page was completed aside from the date (which was perfect as at 10pm I hadn’t yet scrapbooked at all for today)

This paper was one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! packs ever.  I also really loved the butterfly Bigz Die (and I still have it, I don’t every sell any retired dies or framelits).

Thanks for looking!  See you tomorrow – only 8 days left (but I’d like to think I’ll keep this regular scrapbooking going!)

A month of scrapbooking – day 21

Welcome to day 21 of my scrapbooking challenge…“to complete an unfinished layout or create a new one from scratch every day for the next 30 days”.  Check out this first post here to get some more information on my children’s scrapbooks *day one*

I can’t believe we are in the third week!  This layout was quick and will be repeated in all the albums, obviously I will feature the child to which the album belongs.  I don’t think I will get a chance to complete them all today, however I’ve done one and so I’ll just have to be happy with that 🙂

The layout has touches of gold foil but my photography hasn’t shown that up all that well.  This layout also has a lot of white space, I think white space is something you either love or hate.  For me I find my eye is really drawn to the photos (which were taken by a friend and I’m so very grateful for them).  This photo shoot also took place two years ago already!!! Will be just about time for another!  I have left journalling off this page, I’ve made sure I have included the date though.  I’ll make sure I add more journalling details to the pages near this one to remind us all of what my son was like at this age.

Thanks for checking it out, see you tomorrow!

A month of scrapbooking – day 20

Today I had to spend quite a bit of time going back through Facebook to refresh my memories for the letters I write to my kids.  I felt super organised after cleaning up my room and was inspired to set up the two screens, it makes it heaps easier to scroll through Facebook and write the letters at the same time.

I snatched a bit of time to finish off this page so that I could stay true to my scrapbooking challenge. It is just a simple page but I think it captures my son well at that age.

See you tomorrow!

A month of scrapbooking – day 19

Today’s pages in my 30 day scrapbooking challenge just needed some small additions.  I added the age number to make it clear how old the girls were in their photos. I added the date on Tegan’s page.  That’s it!

As time goes on I’m finding that it is really important to add dates and ages to give the pages more impact and a better timeline in the albums.

See you tomorrow!
