Boy worthy.

Here is a card that I think a teenage boy should like… It was cased from one by Deb

It uses the “Need for Speed”, “Word Play” and “Extreme Elements” stamp set.

Party this way!

Here is the final card for the May class.  I think this card would also work really well as an invitation.

It is a case from Mary, as you can see I’ve done it in two colour combinations to choose from….

A sneaky peek at my next class…

Are you interested in learning how to add this faux metal technique to your card…

You will be able to add your choice of sentiment to the card and can even change the stamp image to a different one in the “Need for Speed” Stamp set.

RSVP now if you are interested in either the May 16 daytime class or the May 25th evening class.  The class will be held in my home on Brisbane’s Northside, we are making 5 cards, $20. Further cards including in the class will be appearing on my blog.

Another lovely launch!

Thanks to everyone who came along to our launch on Sunday.  It was a hot day but hopefully that didn’t stop all our guests from having fun!  We were thrilled to once again engage with Food Fx for our catering (and I was just as happy to have some leftovers to take home). If you haven’t already check them out on their website

I could never attempt such a big day on my own.  We missed our gorgeous Linda (moving house, yuk) but I was fortunate to once again be working alongside Steph and Lou.  Check out their blogs for a great round up of their projects that they contributed to the day.

Here are my cards from the day…

A shirt card…

The DSP used for the shirt is from the Mini and is called “Twitterpated”.  This style of card is referred to as an easel card.  If you would like to know how to make the shirt the instructions can be found here:

Here is a card that features the “Mouthwatering” stamp set from the new Mini Catalogue.  I wish you could smell this card, it has a coating of the Cherry Scented Embossing Powder.  I really love the new pleated ribbon available in a variety of colours, it is so easy to use and gives a beautiful effect.

Last, but not least here is my third card that I contributed to the day:

Yes, yes this photo has five cards….it is just showing all the different colour options for this card.  Our in-colour brads are available in assorted packs and so to get maximum value I matched in the twine and cardstock with each of the five brads (Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder).  The sentiment stamp is from “Pennant Parade”, a current favourite.   The flower stamp is from the Mixed Bunch stamp set and has been embossed with White Embossing Powder and then punched out with the new Blossom Punch.  The card is a case of this one.

Our next Launch day is September 9….hope you can join us!

More Open Sea

Here are a couple more cards made with the great Open Sea stamp set:

img_3429I hadn’t really used the Scallop Square Big Shot die until now, it was great to put it to use.

I copied this card from Cassie.

The open sea.

Hello February and hello lots of male birthdays around this time of year (my Dad, my Father-in-law, my son and my brother -in-law and a few friends just for good measure).  Thereby making it a great time to have a lend of my Mother’s “The Open Sea” stamp set.

So I got pinning with Pinterest and then got inky…

Here is one of them:

This is a lovely set to use.  Hope you like the card. Colours used are Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler and Not Quite Navy.  It was inspired by one done by Christine.
