Party this way!

Here is the final card for the May class.  I think this card would also work really well as an invitation.

It is a case from Mary, as you can see I’ve done it in two colour combinations to choose from….

Cute Cupcakes.

I’ve just done a basic cake decorating course, and maybe I’ve got cupcakes on the brain…but I really like this card I cased from one on Pinterest by Jill. This card is yet another card we will be doing at our upcoming class…

This card also uses the Big Shot for both dry embossing and cutting using the new Edgelit Dies.  I’ve used the co-ordinating punch and Stamp Set of “Cupcake builder punch” and “Create a Cupcake” stamps.  It is always so wonderful to have products like these that work so well together.  Last but not least you will learn the technique of adding glitter to a brad.

Dancing Queen

Ok, I know I am on a bit of a roll with these cards using the Stocking builder punch….but here is another one…

Even the white little ballet shoes are done with two punches of the stocking punch (no scissors required 🙂 ) The skirt is a couple of vellum scallop circles cut with the Big Shot and a layer of tulle over the top (which I don’t really think has photographed all that well).  Imagine how excited a little dancer would be to get this card!

I didn’t come up with this idea myself, but I’m unsure who to give the credit too….

Table numbers

I am disappointed that I didn’t get more photos from our day.

I did get a piccie of the table numbers that I made….

I had some of the new DSP from the Flirtatious pack and I just matched it up with cardstock.  For example the one above uses Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.  The Tulips is an Embossing Folder with the Big Shot that I hadn’t used much prior to this project.  Joy suggested that these could become card fronts after the day.  The Beautiful Wings Big Shot Die was also used, I love how the butterflies stand up with this Easel style!

Here is the whole lot together….

As you can see I just matched up each bit of DSP with some cardstock, for example, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose.  Some Jewels in either the Rhinestone or Pearls were a great finishing touch.  The numbers were also cut out with the Big Shot.

Is it a Pennant? Is it a Cup Cake? No it’s an Ice Cream!!!

This is one of Steph’s cards from our Launch…

???????????????????????????????

Steph’s card goes to show how adaptable all our stamps and punches are.  The base of the “ice cream” was stamped with a stamp from “Pennant Parade” and then punched out with the Pennant Builder Punch (early expresso ink).  The “scoops of ice cream” were punched from the Cupcake builder punch.  The cherry is also from the Cupcake builder punch.  The section of Crumb Cake was stamped with versamark and the Parlour Prints background stamp and then heat set with clear embossing powder and then sponged with crumb cake ink.  The sentiment is from “Party this way”  The card base is Wisteria Wonder and there is also features of Lucky Limeade (the punching of the scallop border and the scoop of Ice Cream).

Pennant Parade

Here is the second card from our Catalogue Launch…

???????????????????????????????

My colours are Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso and Very Vanilla.  The stamp set is Pennant Parade.  I really like this set, I’ve seen it used for Christmas so I’ll be thinking about that in the next few weeks!  The sentiment is from “Bring on the cake”, I was really excited to see that stamp set continue into the new catalogue from the last mini.  I used the crimper on the strip of Early Expresso, a little bit of linen thread connects the pennants and dimensionals pop up the top layer of the pennants.  Last but not least, the Lucky Limeade layer was embossing with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and the Big Shot, an easy way to add impact.

The best thing about this card is the matching builder punch for the pennants.  The punch has both the triangle and the scallop punch, no more cutting around for this stamp set!  The small circle is from the Itty Bitty 3 punch set, the centre circle is the 3/4 inch circle.

Hope you like this second card of mine.  I’ll be back with more from the day…
