I appreciate all the support I get from all of you and this year I want to make more of a consistent effort to show it.
This is where I have started….
This is such a cute set from our current Sale-a-bration catalogue. The new watercolour pencils make colouring in a very easy experience too.
To help me to design this card I started with this sketch…
I would also like to follow more sketch challenges this year, this is where you’ll find the Viva La Verve sketches.
As I was watching four 9 year old girls painting and enjoying each other’s company I was attempting to have a play with the new goodies that had arrived in my pre-order from the new Stamp Set. I pulled out “Word Play” a fantastic stamp set with lots of great phrases and this one just lept out at me. Along with all the new In Colours and a brand new stamp set call “Betsy’s Blossoms” I made this card very quickly….
I will be giving it to the “Clown Doctors” at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. They were responsible for lots of laughs while we were in hospital recently, they really do such a fantastic job.
This card was perfect for me, I liked the simple design, it was a chance to showcase the new In Colours AND it is so quick to make…
The new colours are Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit. I have used the Butterfly Wings Embosslit with some Rhinestones which is mounted above a stamps from “Elements of Style”. The “thank you” is from a demonstator stamp set called “Taking Care of Business”.
We are off to a check up at the Hospital for Paige today, these cards are going to come in very handy (along with some fudge of course).
When trying to build a stamp collection that doesn’t break the bank versatility is the key. Stitched Stockings has been used to make these really cute baby cards (along with the Stocking builder punch)….
The girl version…
These cards were a case of one done by Sandy Mathis I have used the Subtles paper stack and some matching taffeta ribbon.
Can you believe it? Some stampin’!
Making these cards reminded me of how much I love to stamp, not that I have done much over the last few weeks…
And here is the girl version:
These cards have been made with a Christmas Stamp Set “stitched stockings”. It is always great to know how versatile our stamps can be. There is a matching punch as well (which I forgot and cut all of these out by hand, goes to show how long it has been since I have done some serious stamping!) This stamp set and matching punch are in the current mini and will only be available until the end of March (we have already been informed that this punch will not continue into the main catalogue, which is very unusual so get it while you can!)
Both of these cards were a case of one by Jackie Topa, I really didn’t change anything much at all.
I needed to make a birthday card for a little bubba about to turn one. I remembered his Mum talking about how symbolic Owls were to you while she was pregnant with him and I knew that I wanted to feature this fact in his card.
I don’t think it looks like a typical card for a One Year Old and in a lot of ways that is perfect for this family. The sentiment is from “On your Birthday”. The owl is of course our cute little Owl Punch. And it seems lately I am incapable of making a card without the Square Lattice Embossing Folder! Good to see it getting used I guess. My colours are Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip, with just a little bit of Certainly Celery. The number one has been cut out of the “Playdate” Designer Series Paper.
