I was inspired to give one of Mum’s calendars a go after she recently sent me the measurements. Here is what I came up with (yes I know that my calendar pad is from 2010, I’m waiting on my order of 2011 ones).
My colour scheme of Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Very Vanilla was inspired by a note pad that Linda had given me a little while back. I have used Love Letter DSP, a stamp from Notably Ornate and that beautiful wide black striped grosgrain ribbon, with a button feature.
Here is what it looks like flat:
Do you like it?
I would like to share a baby bag topper I made recently. I knew I wanted to make something to coordinate with a card that I cased, I think from Teneale but now that I have gone to the site to find it to link it in I can’t find it there, so sorry if you find it elsewhere just let me know so I can give appropriate acknowledgement.
Pink Pirouette is the main colour used here. I have also used some retired Pearls from the Pretties Kit along with some of the beautiful antique brads that are currently available. I loved making the “flower” out of the ribbon and I hope to do that more often. The stamp is from the retired set “Wild about you”, I can’t part with that one!
I’m visiting this new little baby “Mia” and her lovely Mum on Tuesday, can’t wait 🙂
I found this cute tutorial for a little bird house from the Big Shot Mini Milk Carton, it is great to have lots of uses for these dies.
I modified this next one a little. I made more of a tiled roof with lots of layers of scallops, I have also added a sheet of acetate to the inside of the circle so that I can fill it with treats without them all falling out. I have also added some velcro to the back of the “roof” so that it is easy to get to these treats.
Here is the tutorial:
Enjoy and happy Stampin’
I’ve done more sewing! My poor machine desperately needs a service but I don’t want to have it out of my sight! I found this great tutorial for making a caddy from our Scallop Square Die for the Big Shot that is available in the new Summer Mini.
This is the tutorial http://www.cardalacarte.com/2010/07/announcing-new-tutorial-cute-n-cubby.html I would recommend buying this tutorial, it is very professionally done.
It is going to be a gift for a friend who loves Melon Mambo. It was easy to make. I couldn’t resist popping one of the Flower Folds Dies on the front. I love these!
Here is is with some bits and pieces in it.
Happy Sewing and Stampin’
Here are some little Owls all set for their big walk down the aisle. This feature would be fantastic on the front of a Wedding card.
Some of our new self adhesive Pearls really enhance this gorgeous pair. I have added the full heart behind them, and also the top of a Scallop Oval for her bridal veil. They just can’t take their eyes off each other!
Here is a continuation of the showcase of our Owl Punch.
How cute is she??? As you can see she uses a lot of features of the Owl punch, along with some of our circles. I added her little shoes, which are just one of our circles, cut in half with a little triangle cut up into it to form the heel. Some of our new Rhinestone Jewels give her just that right amount of bling (every girl loves some bling!).
