For a card maker September is the perfect time to start making your Christmas cards. The brand new Stampin’ Up! catalogue is now here and it is full of Christmas inspiration, just like this card that I have copied here (you’ll find one very similar in the catalogue). This was one of the cards we made at our launch…
This is a very easy card to make. Use Shimmer White yardstick (it is more tolerant when watercolouring than Whisper White.
Start by patting the card stock with your Embossing Buddy (to reduce static on your paper) then stamp the “Merry Christmas” sentiment with Versamark and add White Embossing Powder and heat set. On scrap paper stamp the “from our family to yours” part of the stamp with Calypso Coral and trim it down (this will be added to your card front, I popped mine up on dimensionals, the mini dimensionals are perfect for this).
Do a wash of Calypso Coral with your Aquapainter, allow to dry and then stamp the snowflake image with Calypso Coral. Add diecuts from the new framelit set, the fine tip glue pen is perfect. Add some rhinestones. Done!
