Happy Birthday Roomie!
Saturday, May 29th, 2010
It is Lou’s birthday today! I have the privilegeof sharing a room with Lou while we were in Sydney. Lou wearing a lot of green (I say that it is her signature colour) and has a gorgeous Elegant Eggplant flower brooch that I love, with this in mind I set about designing her card and matching bag topper…
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Kiwi Kiss
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Whimsical Words (a retired Sale-a-bration set), En Francais, Medallion.
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, Button Bouquet, Coloured Rhinestone Brads, Twine, Clear Embossing Powder and heat gun, versamark, embossing buddy, stamp-a-majic, blunt scissors to rough up edges of paper, scallop border punch, scallop oval punch, word window punch, dimensionals, scallop circle punch, sponges.
Did you notice the punch behind the Word Window Punch? No, we have not got a new punch that you haven’t been told about. I saw this idea on Marelle’s site and I couldn’t wait to use it. It is a Scallop Oval (which you can still buy even though it is not pictured in a current catalogue) that has had the top and bottom trimmed off.
The technique that I have used on these cards is Emboss Resist which I will be sharing during my Thursday class. Hope to see you there.
Happy Stampin’

Linda loves Pink, so it is not a surprise to see it used so beautifully on this card. The stamp sets are from our Sale-A-Bration promotion.
Here is a card from me, I have layered the Whisper White on top of one another, I really like this look at the moment. You may not be able to see clearly in this photo but I have stamped the images randomly on the piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. It is subtle but it just adds a little interest to a fairly plain card. The ribbon is held in place with a glue dot.
The ESAD-SU group have decided to do another Blog Hop. While I am not officially part of it this time, I thought I would support the hop by showcasing some cards from two of my fellow Stampin friends. This one is Linda’s, check out her part of the hop
