Heart and Craft

I needed a few cards and had a limited amount of time so the quickest way for me to do this is to make a stack of the same design and just change the sentiment to suit the occasion.

Stamp set: Butterfly Prints.  Sentiments from “Family Phrases” or “Pocket Silhouettes”.

Cardst0ck: Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace, Very Vanilla.

Designer Series Paper: Non Stampin’ Up! from my craft stash.

Ribbon: from the ribbon promotion (now finished).

Accessories: Eyelet border punch, word window punch. Rhinestone brads, dimensionals.

It was interesting to make these cards as a couple of the intended recipients love purple, however I didn’t have any Stampin’ Up! patterned paper in that colour, thus I raided my other stash.  I was then having to try to match the plain colours and the ribbon…yikes!  It reminded me that it is so much easier to use our Stampin’ Up! DSP as everything coordinates so beautifully!

Yep, here is another case, this time from the super talented Sarah.  Her work is divine and I would love to have the time to make each and every card on her blog!

As soon as I saw this card I ignored all the other more pressing things that I should have been doing and sat down to make it.  Now that I look at the picture I realise that the sentiment is missing…I’ll just have to add that later!

• Cardstock: Pink Pirourette, Very Vanilla, Regal Rose.
• Ink: Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa.
• DSP: Candy Lane.
• Accessories: Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestone Brads, Eyelet Border Punch.

Here is that same style of card that I posted yesterday, however the colours and just a couple of the stamps have been changed.  I have also incorporated a trap door so that the lollies can be accessed without ruining the card.  There are a lot of different ways of making the trap doors and YouTube has a whole heap of tutorials.

• Cardstocks and Ink Colours: Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Only Orange, Whisper White.
• Accessories: Dimensionals, Rose Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Scallop Line Punch, Tab Punch.

The Summer Mini is currently in full swing!  One of the first things that I purchased was the new 1 3/4 inch circle punch, some treat cups and the matching Stamp Set “Something Sweet”.  Now you tell me what kid would not LOVE a card like this…

My kids all go crazy for lollies and they would get such a kick out of getting a card like this.  BTW, the post title has been inspired by something my eldest daughter said when she was much younger while on a sleepover with her Nanny and Poppy

This card has been made with a little trap door in the back so that you can get to those yummy M&M’s without ripping the card.  Can you imagine my delight to find that M&M’s are currently doing this orange chocolate promotion and I could get this pack to go with my card that I had already made in these colours…it made my day   But I would say that Only Orange cardstock may be a better match.
